Just when we thought the Janowiak Boys couldnt get any sweeter- we met many of their friends and support system. In the midst of the Christmas chaos we kicked off our Curve Ball fundraising efforts at Kennys Irish Pub in Countryside. Friends and families of the Janowiaks joined in on our great time for a great cause efforts.
Matt, a sophomore at Saint Louis University, was home for Christmas break so we thought it would be a great time to all get together and push the event. Fenwick graduates and Lyons Township seniors came and helped put together Curve Ball materials, laughed about funny memories of the boys and indulged in lots of pizza, a One for the Kids favorite. Both of the boys spoke about how grateful they were for everyones help. Tim OMalley led the committees and told them how to get more involved and encouraged spreading the word, fast.
There were about 100 people in attendance. It was unbelievable to see what kind of support system the Janowiaks have had during these extremely difficult times. This has become a movement. Lets keep the proverbial curve ball rolling.
