The Curve Ball is BACK.
Where else can you watch live horse races, chuck rubber ducks and groove with Elvis? That’s just anther Saturday night with One for the Kids. On March 5th, over 350 guests gathered at the Hyatt to raise money for the Zwier family and our partner charities.
Guests were greeted with a glass of orange champagne (yes orange, and it was delicious) and toasted to a great night ahead.
Speed painter, Elliot was a sight to be seen in the main ballroom while a string quartet played soothing serenades making the perfect backdrop for cocktails and conversation.
Betting on live horse races is extra enjoyable while sipping a cold martini from our staple ice luge. Thank you to Hawthorne Race Course for providing the nightly race entertainment!
Rubber ducks can be used for many things but why not a game of “chuck your duck” for a great cause? This curve ball sure was a hit – don’t be surprised if you see these ducks again! Speaking of seeing again, is that Elvis weaving in and out of the crowd? The guy does it all and makes the (4 or so) outfit changes look like a breeze.
Bob Lanigan and Pete McMurray took the stage to address the reason why we were all gathered together. After watching this incredible video about Beckham’s story, we opened it up for donation opportunities and our hearts were warmed by the kindness everyone showed! Shortly after, The Paul Windsor Orchestra took the stage and rocked the night away.
A huge thank you to our event chairman, Paul Windsor, for the incredible execution!
Lastly, thank you to all of our sponsors, donors and supporters who truly made this night a success for the Zwier family and our partner charities!
