Over the last 23 years, we have raised more than 1 million dollars for our 3 partner charities and families in need. We wouldn’t have been able to accomplish this without the help of our donors and sponsors. This month we are shining a strong spotlight on all of the amazing things happening at Advocate Children’s Heart Institute.
Advocate Children’s Heart Institute was named a national leader in Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery by U.S. News & World Report and was recently ranked as being in the Top 5% of Best Performing Children’s Hospitals in the Nation for Cardiovascular Surgery Quality Outcomes according to the Society for Thoracic Surgery (STS). Wow! For the 28th year in a row, hundreds of pediatric cardiology patients and their families came together for Advocate Children’s Heart Institute’s annual picnic. The event gives families a chance to spend time with the amazing pediatric cardiology team and participate in fun activities.
Caring for more patients of all ages than any other provider in Illinois, Advocate Health Care has emerged as one of the best in the U.S. We have much to celebrate – and much to anticipate – as they mark their first 20 years as an integrated health system. Their system-wide gala on October 3rd will inspire innovation and excellence to improve health in the communities they serve. The beneficiary for Advocate Children’s Hospital is the Advocate Children’s Heart Institute.
This past June, Advocate had an event at The Skydeck downtown. It was a cultivation event for them and they had nearly 120 guests in attendance – loyal donors, friends and prospects – to hear about the clinical programs of excellence from Mike Farrell, their hospital President and Dr. Michel Ilbawi, Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery. Similar receptions will continue throughout the Chicagoland area over the next 9-12 months and will be held in different venues as they seek to engage and connect with principal and major gift donors and prospects.
We feel honored to give to such an amazing organization and we thank everyone who has ever donated to One for the Kids. The money we raise is truly helping these children in need at Advocate Children’s Heart Institute!
